Edith Falls & Douglas Hot Springs (5th - 6th June)

After leaving Katherine we stopped in at Edith Falls. This was a fantastic camp site approx 60 kms out of Katherine and we wished we had stayed here for a couple of nights rather than Katherine.

There was a 2.6 km walk covering both the upper and lower pools in Edith Falls and it was one of the better walks we have done. Once again it involved swimming, jumping off rocks and some amazing scenery.

Lower Pool, Edith Falls (Gus is looking for fish!)
After our stop and swim we decided to head onto Douglas Hot Springs. This is a natural hot spring and the water coming out of the rocks was close to boiling.

Once we had set up camp a group of Aboriginal kids arrived on their way to a festival. There were 40 screaming kids running around all night having a great time.
