Phone calls & shopping at Ceduna…. we had to stop there as
it’s always on the weather map!
The Nullarbor has 18 holes of golf spanning from east to
west so we stopped in at Nundroo for lunch and played one of the golf holes, a
great chip from Sue but GI reckons he chipped in for a birdie..duries out?!
We camped solo just north of the Head of Bight which was
pretty spectacular - sand dunes, the Bunda Cliffs, 20 metres from the Great
Australian Bight and 5 little Aussies at one with nature – a definite highlight
(until the next one of course)!

We filled up with fuel at Nullarbor at $2.059 cents per
litre – a tour high!
Then we were able to help 4 Aboriginal elders who had run
out of petrol 30kms west of Nullabor…after the good deed we received good
karma for the next couple of days.
Next day we finally made it to WA. We crossed the border and
continued heading west through Mandura and the onto Australia’s longest
straight stretch of road – 145.6kms.
We stayed the night at Balladonia Roadhouse where some of the remains from the US Skylab space shuttle were found after crashing back to earth. It was great to have a swim after a long day in the car, and the kids were able to ride their bikes around until dark.
